Lula M. Goines received a deed from Harry E. Kelly March 4, 1937 to Lots 9 and 10, Division C, Austin, according to Travis County Deed Book 556, page 497.  She gave a deed of trust to Ames L. Gill March 24, 1939 to Lot 10, Block 4, Division C, Austin, according to Travis County Deed Book 618, page 117.

 

Lula M. Goines, a real estate and insurance saleswoman, continued to live at 601 East  38th Street through 1957, according to the Austin city directory.  On March 18, 1959 she gave a deed to William H. Goines, and Ruth L. Goines, his wife, to Lot 9, Block 4, Harper Addition, Austin, according to Travis County Deed Book 1799, page 11.  On August 19, 1970 she received a deed from Ruth L. Goines to Lot 10, Block 4,  Harper Addition, Austin, according to Travis County Deed Book 3916, pages 240-244.  Lula M. Goines was 82 years old at that time.  On June 20, 1972 Lula M. Goines received a deed from Charles R. Ramsey to Lot 24, Comanche Trail Addition, according to Travis County Deed Book 4367, page 1290.

 

Lawrence A. Goines, Jr., believed to be the third child of Lawrence A . Goines and Lula M. Goines, was born about 1914.  He appeared in the 1941 city directory of Austin as the office secretary of Austin-Travis County Welfare Board, living with his mother at 601 East 38th Street.  He appeared as a clerk, U. S. Navy recruiting station in the 1942 edition living at 601 38th Street, the address of his mother.

Robert Lee Going was an electrician for Fletcher Electric, Lubbock, Texas in 1938, living at 1420 Avenue M, according to the Lubbock City directory.

 

Robert Lee Going was married June 16, 1941 to Mrs. Ruby Going according to Travis County Marriage Book 39, page 266.  The Travis County Marriage Book 39, page 379, also states that Robert Lee Going was married to Ruby King in 1941.  He was listed as an electrician employed by the Electric Shop and lived at 307 East 12th Street according to the 1941 city directory of Austin.  In 1947 Robert Going was employed as an electrician by Grimmer Electric and lived at 201 East 2nd Street, according to the Austin city directory.

Army Engineers Service Company at age 21 in Austin April 3, 1918 according to Travis County Discharge Book A, page 265.  He had brown eyes, black hair, black complexion and was 5'4."  Goins was listed as a single man.  He was part of the American Expeditionary Force in France, but saw no battles.  He was said to have excellent character and no AWOLs on his record.  Goins also served as a janitor.  He was discharged at Camp Bowie, Texas July 3, 1919 according to Travis County Discharge Book A, page 265.

John Looney Goines, son of Col Goines and Manda Sanford Goines, was a resident of Groveton, Texas in 1920.  He was born in 1896, place unknown.  He was married about 1915, wife's name unknown.  In September 1921 he continued to live in Trinity County.  In 1925 he lived in Liberty County, Texas.

 

John Looney Goines later moved to Montgomery County.  His wife apparently died there because he received a deed from Conroe Memorial Cemetery to a cemetery lot March 28, 1950, according to Montgomery County Deed Book 296, page 139.

 

On August 26, 1951, John Looney Goines, a resident of Conroe, Texas was married to Myrtle Mae Sims, according to Montgomery County Marriage Book 20, page 534.

 

On September 4, 1954 John Looney Goines and Myrtle Mae Sims Goines received a general warranty deed to Lot 71, Crystal Creek Estates, according to Montgomery County Deed Book 381, 186.

 

John Looney Goines wrote his will July 5, 1955.  He died at the age of 64 May 26, 1960 of a coronary occlusion at Conroe, according to Montgomery County Death certificate 5655.  He was buried in Conroe Memorial Cemetery.  Myrtle Mae Sims Goines was named executrix of the estate valued at $5,000, according to Montgomery County Probate Book 75, page 74.

 

Myrtle Mae Sims Goines sold Lot 71, Crystal Creek Estates to H. B. Burke July 1, 1964, according to Montgomery County Deed Book 573, page 314.  On the same date she received title to some lots in Syndicate Addition, according to Deed Book 571, page 12 from H. B. Burke.

He was married to Sallie Arrendell November 29, 1941, according to Montgomery County Marriage Book 17, page 380.  Martin Vernon Goines and Sallie Arrendell Goines were divorced about 1943.

 

Martin Vernon Goines enlisted in the U. S. Army August 14, 1943.  Hee served in Company A, 127th Infantry Regiment in New Guinea, in Luzon and in the Phillippine liberation campaign.  He was wounded July 24, 1944.  He was discharged December 27, 1945 and showed his address Route 2, Conroe, Texas, according to  Monygomery County Discharge Book 3, page 457.  He listed his civillian occupation as a truck driver.

 

In 1960 Martin Vernon Goines lived in New Caney, Texas.
