McCall and Emma McCall, was born about 1920 in Bell County, according to Bell County Birth Book 11, page 107.  He was a mer­chant at Rogers, Texas, and she was 49 years old at the time of the birth.  Emma Mc­Call continued at Rogers October 14, 1940 when she attested to the probate birth cer­tificate.

Matt A. McCall, a native of Grayson County living in Lamesa, Texas in 1973 referred Mary Alnora "Nora" Cox Drennan (C2/10.4) to his nephew James D. McCall of Sherman, Texas for McCall genealogical information.  James D. McCall was a son of D. A. McCall.  James D. McCall had a daugh­ter, Barbara Sue McCall who died of a cerebral hemorrhage at age 21 while a student at Texas Christian University.  He also had a son, John Steven McCall.  James D. McCall operated McCall Carpets at that time.

Daniel McCall, possibly a relative of Dr. Matthew Morgan McCall (M5/1.1), was a resi­dent of Red River County in 1842, according to "History of Titus County, Texas" by W. M. Morrison.  He received a land grant there of 20 labores issued by the District Court of Harrison County, Texas.  His survey lay on Hart's Creek, a short distance from present day Mt. Pleasant, county seat of Titus County which was formed from Red River County in 1846.   He was a surveyor and laid out the town of Mt. Pleasant.  He was the first postmaster there, receiving his ap­pointment in June 1847 and holding the office until September 13, 1847.

 

He did the surveying for Paschal County, Texas which existed briefly during the years 1841 and 1842.  The towns of Blossom Prairie and Daingerfield were originally located in Paschal County.  An unclaimed letter for Daniel McCall was being held in the post office at Clarksville April 27, 1848.

 

"D. McCall, one white male over 21, one white female" appeared as a tax­payer in 1846 in Titus County, according to "Republic of Texas: Poll Lists for 1846" by Marion Day Mullins.

Hugh W. McCall was born May 17, 1774 in North Carolina.  He moved to Travis County in 1869 and died there July 26, 1870.  He was buried in Hornsby Cemetery at Hornsby's Bend.

Thomas Joel McCall was born in Uvalde County in 1883.  He was married about 1904 to Anna Elizabeth Ferris who was born in 1888 at Marble Falls, Texas.  They were living in Hill County when their first child, Theora May McCall was born September 8, 1906, according to Hill County Birth Book 5, page 482.  Raymond Norman McCall, their second child was born there in 1908, according to Hill County Birth Book 7, page 560.  In 1942 Anna Elizabeth Ferris McCall Miller lived in Long Beach, Califor­nia.

George McCall and Delta McCall were the parents of John Woodson McCall who was born October 21, 1910 and died April 2, 1912, according to Williamson County death records.

Lula M. Keen McCall, daughter of N. A. Keen and Mary F. Keen "of Hill County, Texas" received a deed January 8, 1904 to two lots in Georgetown from her parents, according to Williamson County Deed Book 110, page 177.  She and her husband J. W. McCall deeded the property to J. S. Huckabee October 20, 1904 for $550, according to Williamson County Deed Book 110, page 116.
